Welcome to Friends to Parents (FTP) Child Development Center. We are looking forward to caring for your child while you are working or in school. We believe that the first years of life are very important. As children are society's most precious commodities we believe that they are entitled to the finest nurturing available. We provide a safe, secure and loving environment.
Our program is developmentally oriented, taking into account the natural growth process, the uniqueness of the child, and the tasks mastered at each growth stage. Our daily plan takes into consideration the many physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of children. We know that children learn quickly when they have a variety of sensory rich experiences in their play throughout the day.

Program Evaluations

Annual self Review
Annual Self-Review will be conducted by FTP's Governing Board, the Parent Advisory Committee and Staff using the Infant and Toddler Environmental Rating Scale and Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale. The California Department of Education will validate the results of this Self-Review. The outcome will be used to set program goals.
DRDP system will be used to support and improve the quality of the program and services provided to all children and families.
DRDP assessment tool will be used twice per year for every child
Children will be evaluated 60 days after enrollment and at six month intervals to identify areas of improvement.

State Review
State reviews for coordinated compliance review will be conducted every 3 years for monitoring program quality and compliance.

Department of social services
Department of Social Services, Community Care, Licensing Division will make unannounced visits throughout the year and will perform an unannounced annual renewal visit.
